Principal's Message
Dear Washington Community,
It is with great pride and excitement that I write to you as the newly appointed Principal of Washington Elementary School to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with a rich tradition of education and great community involvement. I have been dedicated to the field of education for almost 20 years. I have worked with various grade levels and supported various school sites in different capacities. My most recent administrative experience was as the Principal of San Antonio Elementary School. I am excited and eager to work with you as a partner in ensuring your child’s success.
Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established here at Washington by building strong relationships with parents, students, and the community. I am confident that together we will be able to build upon those previous successes and reach new levels of academic and socio-emotional growth.
Student class lists will be posted on August 11th at 5:00 P.M., in front of the school office. You will be able to see your child’s teacher assignment and classroom number. TK and Kindergarten parents are invited to attend parent orientation on August 11, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. to meet their child’s teacher and go over kindergarten schedules and routines. We will also have a campus tour for our new families on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 8:30 A.M. and 5:30 P.M.
The first day of school will be Monday, August 14, 2023. School begins at 8:05 A.M. Please ensure that your student arrives on campus in a timely manner. Attendance is important we strongly encourage all of our Lobos to have great attendance. If your child will be having breakfast on campus, breakfast service begins at 7:30 A.M. Breakfast is served to all of our students through our Food and Nutrition Services department free of cost.
The schedule for the 1st week of school for 1st – 5th grade is as follows:
- Monday -Thursday, August 14 - August 17 (8:05 a.m. – 1:25 p.m.)
- Friday, August 18, 2023 (9:00 a.m. – 1:25 p.m.)
- Beginning Monday, August 20, 2023 (8:05 a.m. – 2:26 p.m. 1st -3rd) (8:05 a.m. – 2:55 p.m. 4th & 5th) with the exception of Wednesdays (Dismissal is at 1:25 p.m. on all Wednesdays).
The schedule for the 1st week of school for TK and KINDERGARTEN is as follows:
- Monday -Thursday, August 14 - August 17 (8:05 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
- Friday, August 18, 2023 (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

Es con gran orgullo y entusiasmo que les escribo esta carta como la nueva directora de la Escuela Primaria Washington para darles la bienvenida al año escolar 2023-2024. Me siento honrado de tener la oportunidad de dirigir una escuela con una rica tradición de educación y una gran participación comunitaria. Me he dedicado a la educación de estudiantes por casi 20 años. He trabajado con varios niveles de grado y he apoyado escuelas en diferentes capacidades. Mi experiencia administrativa más reciente fue como directora de la Escuela Primaria de San Antonio. Estoy emocionada por trabajar con usted como socia para garantizar el éxito de sus hijos.
Junto con los maestros y el personal, trabajaré arduamente para continuar el legado de éxito establecido aquí en Washington mediante la construcción de relaciones sólidas con los padres, los estudiantes y la comunidad. Estoy segura de que juntos podremos aprovechar esos éxitos anteriores y alcanzar nuevos niveles de crecimiento académico y socioemocional.
Las listas de clases de los estudiantes se publicarán por la tarde el 11 de agosto a las 5:00 P.M. en el frente de la oficina de la escuela. Podrá ver la asignación de maestro de su hijo y el número de salón. Los padres de TK and kinder están invitados a asistir a la orientación para padres el 11 de agosto de 2023 a las 2:00 P.M. para conocer a la maestra de su hijo y repasar los horarios y rutinas de kindergarten. La asistencia es importante, recomendamos encarecidamente a todos nuestros Lobos que tengan una gran asistencia. Si su hijo va a desayunar en el campus, el servicio de desayuno comienza a las 7:30 a.m. El desayuno se sirve a todos nuestros estudiantes a través de nuestro departamento de servicios de Alimentos y Nutrición sin costo.
El horario de la primera semana de clases para el 1. ° a 5. ° grado es el siguiente:
- Lunes a jueves , 14 de agosto – 17 de agosto de 2023 (8:05 a.m. – 1:25 p.m.)
- Viernes, 18 de agosto de 2023 (9:00 a.m. – 1:25 p.m.)
- Comenzando lunes, 20 de agosto de 2023 (8:05 a.m. – 2:26 p.m. primero a tercero) (8:05 a.m. – 2:55 p.m. cuarto y quinto) con la excepción de miércoles (salida a 1:25 p.m. todos los miércoles)
